• Do I not spend enough time in prayer?
• Do I not share the gospel with enough people?

• Do I not give enough?

• And on and on.....



If you are one of these people, only you know the answers to each of these questions, but you could be doing all of these things as much as possible and still feel kind of spiritually dry and empty on the inside or spiritually incomplete or you just feel like you lack that spiritual dynamic you see in the lives of New Testament Christians or you don’t feel the power of the Holy Spirit working in you and through you.

I know this to be true, because this was my experience and my feelings for the first 8 years after I received Christ and became a born-again believer. The struggles I went through to be like Christ (as a new Christian) were the most intense thing I have ever experienced. I was convinced I was never going to experience the victorious Christian life that I saw in the New Testament. In fact at one point, as my struggles reached a climax, I quit the ministry and gave up.

 Shortly after that the Lord finally pulled back the curtains and let me see that what I was hungering and thirsting for was that oneness with Christ, which was already mine, but I had not known it or understand it.

This revelation of my oneness with Christ came into my spirit at 2:00am one morning while I was sleeping. As the Holy Spirit sent this truth into my inner-being, I woke up praising God and for the first time in my life, my spirit was worshiping Jesus Christ. Spiritual worship was reverberating from within me outwardly and upward to God and I was filled with overwhelming joy and peace.
 I did not speak in any kind of tongues. I did not fall into some kind of trance. I simply experienced true spiritual worship and became totally conscious of my spiritual oneness with Christ. My spirit was emanating worship to God and God was responding back with real spiritual fellowship.

For the first time I experienced what that verse means in John 4:24 where Jesus said that: "God is spirit and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth." This is only possible through the conscious reality of our oneness with Jesus Christ. All the other kinds of worship I had practiced and experienced had been mostly a mental experience even though I had been completely sincere. My spirit had never been engaged before.



Needless to say, my Christian life has been different ever since. After I came into this conscious reality of my oneness with Christ I immediately read through the entire Bible again as quickly as possible. I wanted to find and study every verse of Scripture, every example, every illustration, and every application that relates to every believer’s oneness with Christ.

 Then I organized the Scriptures, the examples, the illustrations, and the applications I found into principles and expressed these principles in the chapters of this book in a study format or workbook format.

Romans 6 is the foundational Biblical text for the book, but there are Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation on the concept of our oneness with Christ. I did not share in the book that special experience where I came into that conscious reality of my oneness with Christ, because that is not the important thing or the thing that others could strive after. Many Christians have had special times with the Lord, that are completely unique, and cannot be reproduced by others. We are not to seek the experiences of others. We are to seek the Lord and His will and His fellowship. How God deals with each of us is up to Him. So, what I share in the book is how to understand your oneness with Christ, which includes:

• The mechanics of it

• The dynamics of it

• The what, where, when, and how that enables you to realize and experience the fullness of your oneness with Christ.



This conscious oneness with the Lord is already the birthright of every Christian through our salvation experience. There is nothing any Christian has to do to experience it, except realize it and understand it and glory in it. Therefore, it is the burden of my heart and the desire of my soul to help any and every Christian who is hungering and thirsting for these truths to experience them.
